Dr. Pardoe joined the NYU Comprehensive Epilepsy Center as a Research Scientist in 2012. His research investigates the causes and consequences of epilepsy in the human brain. The primary tool he uses for these investigations is Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). Dr Pardoe completed his PhD in Biophysics at the University of Western Australia. He completed his postdoctoral training at the Brain Research Institute (now part of the Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health), in Melbourne Australia. He uses MRI-based image analysis to identify brain changes in epilepsy, and assist in surgical planning for individuals with severe epilepsy. He is also interested in developing techniques to assist in planning and carrying out big neuroimaging studies.
