Division of Epilepsy

The Division of Epilepsy at NYU Langone Health is dedicated to the treatment of epilepsy and seizure disorders. We are world leaders in research into innovative therapies and clinical trials that better the lives of people with these conditions. We also train the next generation of epileptologists through our epilepsy fellowship program.

Clinicians at NYU Langone’s Comprehensive Epilepsy Center offer both inpatient and outpatient monitoring and the latest surgical and medical treatment options. Our team has an international reputation for successfully treating people with the most challenging forms of epilepsy.

Our division hosts regular conferences and lectures, and provides continuing medical education (CME) courses for physicians.

We offer specialized epilepsy care for infants and children through the Comprehensive Epilepsy Center’s Pediatric Epilepsy Program. We also have programs focused on complex epilepsy disorders, including Dravet syndrome, epileptic encephalopathies, Angelman syndrome, tuberous sclerosis, and CDKL5 deficiency disorder. We also specialize in pregnancy planning for women who have epilepsy or seizure disorders.

Our International Epilepsy Program is a referral source for patients across the globe and also facilitates CME for physicians from other countries.

Because proper sleep is one way to control seizures, we evaluate and treat sleep disorders at NYU Langone’s Comprehensive Epilepsy Center—Sleep Center.
